Hoನ್ನುDi productions ventured in the year 2013 and completed many projects, experimenting and discovering the new ways of film making. Every project concentrated on new ideas and new bunch of talented people, gaining great response from the audience, which reintroduced many new talents into the industry.
Hoನ್ನುDi Productions took a big step forward by producing its first feature film MAHIRA, which has received a rave reviews and it is critically acclaimed in its respective genre. The next venture under Hoನ್ನುDi Productions is an unique experimental feature film BILI CHUKKI HALLI HAKKI, which is the first Indian movie produced to create awareness on Vitiligo.
Mahesh Gowdha is a highly accomplished, creative, and passionate filmmaker with a strong academic and professional background. He holds a Diploma and Bachelor’s in Engineering, PGDM, and an MBA from London. After working in London for several years, his deep passion for cinema led him to pursue a certification in Direction & Filmmaking from The London Film Academy (LFA).
During his time at LFA, he worked on multiple experimental projects and explored the European film scene. Upon returning to India, he embarked on his filmmaking journey, working as an Associate Director under the legendary Kannada filmmaker Sunil Kumar Desai. He had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed industry professionals, including National Award nominee G. S. Bhaskar.
Driven by innovation, Mahesh established his own production house, “Hoನ್ನುDi Productions”, where he has directed and produced numerous experimental films. His dedication to cinema extends beyond filmmaking—he actively mentors aspiring actors and technicians, offering them platforms and opportunities to shine.
Industry Recognition & Contributions:
Mahesh Gowdha has a diverse background in the entertainment industry. Notably, he worked as an assistant choreographer in the Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots, sharing the screen with renowned actors Aamir Khan and R. Madhavan.
His deep understanding of cinema, psychology, and entrepreneurship has made him a sought-after guest speaker at universities and corporate events. He has judged multiple cultural competitions and continues to inspire the next generation of filmmakers. His films are critically acclaimed for their originality, storytelling, and artistic presentation.

His directorial debut, MAHIRA, is a female-centric action thriller that received rave reviews from leading publications and online platforms. The film’s compelling narrative and execution solidified his reputation as a visionary filmmaker.
Currently, Mahesh is working on his next feature film, BILI CHUKKI HALLI HAKKI, the first-ever Indian film on Vitiligo. Along with producing and directing, he also plays the lead role in this groundbreaking project.
A Voice for Vitiligo Awareness
Beyond filmmaking, Mahesh is a strong advocate for Vitiligo awareness. Known as “The Scarman,” he is India’s first and only celebrity actively working to promote inclusivity in entertainment for individuals with Vitiligo. His mission is to inspire and encourage people with Vitiligo to embrace their uniqueness and step into the spotlight.
